Environmental Responsibility

Keeping our environment clean is critical to the health and well being of our residents. Whether it's our local bodies of water and the air we breathe, or addressing the global climate emergency, I will be a leader that fights for environmental justice for our community. Rebuilding our environment provides an opportunity to heal old wounds while we grow our economy by creating good, clean jobs. If elected, I will focus on:

• Improving energy efficiency in City buildings, which will reduce carbon emissions and save the City money on heating and cooling costs.
• Encouraging green development where people can walk, bike and take transit for many of their daily needs.
• Working with residents to create a climate action plan that centers people in determining our climate future.
